On March 8, 2013, the Corktown Residents & Business Association sent a letter to Mr. Justice  George Valin of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario regarding proposed changes to federal electoral ridings.

The CRBA is opposed to the proposed southern boundary change, which would divide our community along Mill Street. We’ve asked Justice Valin and the commission to consider keeping our neighbourhoods connected by changing the boundary to Lake Shore & the Gardiner Expressway.
