Volunteer Opportunity – Corktown News Help Needed:
The Corktown News team is looking for a volunteer to facilitate the delivery of the Corktown News. This would include figuring out the Canada Post “walks”, picking up from the printer, dropping papers at Canada Post. A car and a strong back are required. We will train you! The Corktown News is produced quarterly. Please email editor@corktown.ca if you are interested.
Good Shepherd Community Cleanup:
Do you want to make a difference in our neighbourhood? The Good Shepherd will be hosting a Community Cleanup event.
Who: Good Shepherd Centre & You!
What: Neighbourhood Clean-Up
Where: Meet in the Good Shepherd Centre Chapel – 412 Queen Street East
When: Friday, April 22, 2016 from 10:30-12:00pm
Why: We are looking forward to meeting and working with our neighbours to clean up our city!
Each group of participants will be organized into teams and will follow a specific clean-up route. All equipment will be provided by Good Shepherd Centre, i.e. brooms, pans, garbage bags, gloves etc. The event will conclude with a special lunch in the Good Shepherd Centre Dining Room for all participants at 12pm.
