YMCA Free Bootcamp at Underpass Park
Thanks to the gang over at our new YMCA, a Bootcamp will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at Underpass Park at 6:30pm. The grand opening of the YMCA will be on the weekend of May 28-29. Check out their website (look under Health & Fitness tab), for all of the great upcoming events as well as your chance to win a free membership for a year!!
Cycle Toronto – Ward 28 Bike Social
On April 27th at 6pm, join in on a bike ride down Sumach finishing at the Dominion Pub! Starting at Wellesley Park (you can’t miss the big bright awning at the end of Wellesley East). If you’re running late, feel free to join us at the Dominion for 6:45pm.

Running Room 5K Run/Walk
Our new Running Room is opening and they are having a 5K and 2.5K Run/Walk in support of our very own Cooper Koo Family Cherry St. YMCA. The run is on Wednesday, May 25th at 6:00pm. Come on out and join in the fun!! Click here to see more information or to register ($10).
Toronto Marathon – May 1
The Toronto Marathon is on May 1 and a portion of it “runs” right through our neighbourhood. Check out the Road Closures so you don’t get stuck. The runners will be at the 21km mark as they pass through Corktown so if you have time to go out an cheer them on, I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated!
Resurfacing Bayview Ave
Bayview Ave between River St and Queen St E will be resurfaced this spring. It is tentatively scheduled for a FULL CLOSURE between May 2 and May 20.
Community Cleanup Thanks!
