Corktown’s history of residents dates back over 200 years. Whether you already live here or are thinking of becoming part of its rich history, we greet you! Below you can find categories that residents care about, with all the resources to stay-in-the-know.
Every year the CRBA prioritizes green initiatives to enhance our environment & streetscape. From the Pollinator Patches at Sackville Playground and Cherry Street to our Free Tree Giveaway and Annual Spring clean-up, we are dedicated to positive change in our neighborhood. Corktown’s green canopy is one we are proud of and aim to continue to grow — we even have a tree and garden map to prove it! Please reach out to the CRBA if you have ideas of initiatives that would support this cause, or interested to volunteer for future causes.
Spanning 10 vibrant blocks, Corktown’s contrast between the old and new is exceedingly apparent, adding to the neighborhood’s unique charm. With the development of the Ontario Line at our doorstep, we can expect much more “new” by way of condo development. Here are some key resources to bookmark for up-to-date information on the comings & goings: Metrolinx Corktown Station, The Bridge Community Newspaper, Ward 13 Development Map. And of course, feel free to reach out to info@corktown.ca to speak to the CRBA board directly for any comments or concerns.
