Lovegates and Labrona 2016 Legacy Pillar Celebration TODAY!!

More than six weeks ago the painting began on the pillars on the west side of Underpass Park.  A celebration of their completion is being held today.  If you are free, come on over – meet the artist and enjoy a slice of pizza!

YMCA Green Roof Volunteer Request

Msg from Sarah Beldick, General Manager – Cooper Koo Family YMCA

I have some excellent news to share: this week we received our permit from the city and we are getting ready to officially open the Cooper Koo Family Y Green Roof!! Of course there will be festivities and you will most definitely be invited. But before we can open, we have some final work to do.
Our amazing team from Restoration Gardens will be back in the centre on Monday the 17th, Tuesday the 18th and Wednesday the 19th to do pruning, weeding and final preparation to open this amazing 30,000 square foot garden in the sky.
If you can volunteer any or all of these days, that would be most appreciated.  We will be working 10am-4pm each day. If you would like to volunteer, please email Sarah.Beldick@ymcagta.org.

Corktown Cheering Station – Thanks!

Many thanks to the YMCA, Erin Balser from We Run Corktown, the awesome band Phill Hood and the Exclamation and all of the Corktown Residents who came out and yelled for making the Corktown Cheering Station so great.  I know that it made such a difference to the runners as they battled the humidity of the day.  See you all next year!
