Gilead Place Speed Limit – As of February 23, the speed limit on Gilead Place has been reduced from 50 km/hr to 30 km/hr!

Goodnight Moon: A musical presentation of this classic children’s story is playing at Young People’s Theatre in the Distillery District now until March 19. Tickets are available here.
Sugar Shack at Sugar Beach: On March 12 & 13, Sugar Beach (Jarvis and Queens Quay) is being transformed into a Quebec-style cabane à sucre, complete with maple taffy on snow. There will be live musical performances, a traditional French Canadian contra dance and an outdoor sing-along. Food trucks will be serving Quebecois favourites and hot drinks. There will also be maple syrup cooking and ice carving demonstrations. See their website for a schedule of activities.
18blocks.com: Corktown has now gone live on 18blocks.com. It is an online neighbourhood notice board. It was founded on a simple insight: that neighbours share more than a postal code. “Now neighbours can network easily and uncover common interests – like gardening, running, or books; resources – like used bikes, tools, or babysitters; and special talents – like tutoring, baking, or dog training.” Check it out!
