Upcoming CRBA Annual General Meeting – Tuesday Feb 6th, 2018
Next month will be the AGM & the Corktown Residents and Business Association will be needing more Board members since some people are moving on. There is a lot going on so if you have an interest in development, heritage preservation, neighbourhood events, The Corktown News or want just to see improvements within Corktown (and the list goes on), consider running for the Board!
If you are interested please email email@example.com We would especially love someone from the West Don Lands to be on the Board to ensure that the interests of everyone in Corktown are represented.
First Parliament Project
The First Parliament site is a historically significant piece of land, particularly for Indigenous people and European settlers. The site saw the formation and governance of Upper Canada, the beginnings of a united Canada, and the growth of the City into an industrial and diverse region on both a provincial and national scale.
Attend the public lecture on February 6, 2018 at Enoch Turner Schoolhouse
106 Trinity St., 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Register here!

Enbridge Don River 30 inch Natural Gas Main Replacement Project
Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. (“Enbridge”) is proposing to replace and abandon a segment of 30 inch natural gas main that supplies the City of Toronto, as the crossing could be subject to risk from significant weather events. The segment is located partially on a bridge owned by Enbridge that spans the Don River. Where possible, the proposed pipeline will be located within the right-of-way of previously disturbed municipal roads and entirely below ground eliminating the bridge crossing. The general location and study area of the proposed pipeline are identified on the adjacent map.
