Your Corktown, Toronto eNewsletter for the week of November 30, 2015
CRBA MEETING: The December public meeting of your Corktown Residents & Business Association is set for this Tuesday, December 1 from 7 to 9 p.m.
This month we’ll be meeting in the basement of Little Trinity Church at 425 King East.
On the agenda is a new business introduction from Feast, an update on programming at the Cherry Street YMCA and a presentation from our friends at 51 Division of Toronto Police Services.
All are welcome! Hope to see everyone there.
DOMINION RISES: After a long period of renovation, the venerable Dominion on Queen (500 Queen East) will re-open today (Monday) under new management. The inside of the space has been completely redone and there’s a new menu and — count ’em — 24 beer taps. Check out their Facebook page for a sneak peek.
We’ll have an in-depth look at the new Dominion on corktown.ca later today, so check back!
WEST DON LANDS: Urban Toronto had a pair of articles last week touring the new West Don Lands area of Corktown. The first looks at the new condo buildings while the second explores the planned retail for the area. Can’t wait until those fences come down next spring!
TTC SURVEY: Transit riders take note! The TTC has launched a customer survey regarding local bus routes 72 PAPE and 172 CHERRY STREET, with potential changes outlined for both. You can put in your two cents by clicking this link.
YMCA SURVEY: Speaking of surveys, the new Cooper Koo Family Cherry Street YMCA is still soliciting feedback on their programming. Let ’em know what you think.
GALLERY 402: Our friends at Gallery 402 (402 King Street East) are hosting a one-of-a-kind Artisans’ Christmas Sale, with jewelry, pottery, preserves, glassware, lighting fixtures & much more. Call 416-366-8714 for more details.
