Call for volunteers: Live Art Festival, Saturday June 20 in Underpass Park

Interested in the arts? Volunteers know what goes on behind the scenes at the Live Art Festival.

Mural Routes requires several volunteers to assist in making the Live Art Festival at Underpass Park, Corktown a success.

The Live Art Festival brings together graffiti, mural, and street artists to transform the Underpass Park pillars through live painting as well as opportunities for community to be involved with arts activities, enjoy performances, try sports demos and experiment with local food vendors.


Volunteers are needed for the following positions:

  • Welcoming Committee / Info booth attendants
  • Parking and Directions on-site help
  • Arts Activities
  • Set up (8am-10am) and tear down (8pm-10pm)
  • Green Room Attendants

We are asking volunteers to commit to a minimum of a one 4-hour shift:

  • Morning: 10am – 2pm
  • Afternoon: 2 – 6pm

In addition, we looking for strike crews:

  • Set up: 8 – 10am
  • Tear down: 6 – 8pm


Please e-mail with the position you’d like to volunteer and the times slot(s) you would like to commit to.

Note: Positions will be assigned based on a first-come-first-serve basis. Applications will be received until Tuesday, June 16th @ 5:00 p.m.

Mural Routes is a dedicated Arts organization that hopes to inspire the creation of extraordinary public wall art that serves as a catalyst for community building. The Live Art Festival is part of the Friends of the Pan Am Path’s Art Relay, in partnership with StreetARToronto, City of Toronto Parks, and the Corktown Residents and Business Association.
