CRBA MEETING: The Corktown Residents & Business Association hosts our monthly public meeting on Tuesday, April 7! Join us at Little Trinity Church (425 King Street East, in the basement) from 7 to 9 p.m. On the agenda this month: presentations from thinc design on Corktown Parks Improvement, an update from the St. Lawrence Library, an introduction to the new community liaison at the Good Shepherd Centre and business introductions from Health Shield Pharmacy and Roselle Desserts! It’s a packed agenda and all are welcome!

CORKTOWN CRESCENDO: The renowned Corktown Chamber Orchestra is set to perform their spring concert OUTLIERS this Thursday, April 9 at Little Trinity Church (425 King Street East) at 8 p.m. Tickets for this amazing night of music are just $10 at the door, with kids getting in for free. DEFRIES STREET PLANNING MEETING: On Thursday, April 9, the City of Toronto is hosting a planning meeting regarding the proposed development for 1-25 Defries Street. The meeting will be held at Nelson Mandela Park Public School (440 Shuter Street) from 7 to 9 p.m. Check out the official notice for more details.

ALUMNAE THEATRICS: On stage this week, don’t miss I AM MARGUERITE, an original play by playwright Shirley Barrie based on a true story from Canadian history. It debuts at Alumnae Theatre this Friday, April 10. You can get tickets online.

COFFEE CLASS: If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make a truly great cup of coffee, Corktown biz Sparkplug Coffee can help. Join them at The Healthy Road (518 King Street East) on Saturday, April 11 between 10 and 11 a.m. This first session costs just $10. Bring a friend and you’ll both get in for free.
