TANDEM COFFEE HONOURED: A huge congrats to Corktown’s Tandem Coffee for making the list of BlogTO’s Best New Cafes in Toronto, 2014. Eugene and Michie always brew a great cup of coffee — pay ’em a visit at 368 King East.

GWNA MEETING: On Monday, January 12, the Gooderham & Worts Neighbourhood Association is hosting their first monthly public meeting of 2015 with special guest speaker Councillor Pam McConnell. The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 80 Mill Street in the second floor amenity room. Click here for details.

NEW LOCATION FOR UKES: With the Dominion on Queen still closed for renovations — we miss you! — the world famous Corktown Ukulele Jam is now jamming at the Paintbox Bistro in neighbouring Regent Park. They’re celebrating their sixth anniversary this Wednesday. Check out their website for all the details.

FREE YOGA: Canary District and the YMCA of Greater Toronto continue to offer FREE YOGA CLASSES each Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Canary District Presentation Centre. LESLIEVILLE FLEA MOVES WEST: With winter here, the Leslieville Flea will once again take up winter residence at the Distillery District starting Sunday, January 18.
