SKETCH Corktown Mural Unveiling – Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Just prior to tomorrow’s CRBA public meeting (7-9 p.m. at Little Trinity Annex), all Corktowners are invited to come out and join SKETCH for the official unveiling of the new Corktown mural at the corner of King Street East and Sackville Street. The unveiling will start at 6:30 p.m.

The details:

SKETCH is thrilled to publicly unveil a new mural located at 489 King Street East in Corktown, on October 7, 6:30PM.

Created in consultation with SKETCH youth, this mural was designed and produced by Z’otz*, in partnership with SKETCH mural artists, to spark interest and conversation within the Corktown community, and to highlight Pan-American arts and culture in time for next year’s Pan Am Parapan Am Games in Toronto.

Artists and partners will be present at the unveiling to discuss the artistic process and inspirations for the mural.

This mural was created in partnership with Z’otz*, The City of Toronto, StARTTO2015 IGNITE community partnership program; the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport; the Corktown Residence and Business Association, and Councillor Pam McConnell‘s office.
