New CRBA Board elected at AGM
Thank you! Thanks to all those who attended the Dominion on Queen last night for the CRBA’s 2014 AGM. (If you couldn’t attend, don’t worry — we still like you just fine.) In addition to hearing all about the past year in Corktown, we also — by unanimous vote — elected a new CRBA Board of Directors for the coming year.
Your new board:
- Alex Bartlett
- Peter Coish
- Michele Cummings
- Matt Elliott
- Nahel Fekadu
- Kara Isert
- Sandra Iskandar
- Mike Kapil
- Peter MacDonald
- Arthur Sinclair
Executive positions will be determined at a coming board meeting. We’ll keep you posted and provide updates at the next CRBA Public Meeting on March 4, 2014 at Dominion on Queen.
Questions or comments, as always, can be addressed to email@example.com.
Glen Murray follow-up
We were happy to have our MPP Glen Murray attend the meeting last night. Here are some of the things he shared with us:
- TorontoCentrePlan.org – Land Use Planning & Appeals Report – a submission to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing that relates to planning decisions, OMB reform and neighbourhood development.
- Idea Distillery: Glen is launching an Idea Distillery on Thursday, February 6. The event is an opportunity to share ideas about urbanism. It’ll take place at The Fox’s Den at 1075 Bay Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Special guest will be former City of Toronto Planner Paul Bedford, who will discuss transit and city building. All welcome.
For those who haven’t already done so, remember to confirm your status as a CRBA member for 2014 by clicking this link right here. Membership is totally free and open to anyone who lives in or represents a business located in Corktown.
