OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
The Corktown Residents and Business Association exists to enhance the quality of residential and business life, to promote and market Corktown, and to act as a voice for the community.
What is your community association doing on these issues? How are we doing? Come out to the AGM and find out!
On the agenda – a look back at 2013 in Corktown including:
- parks & public spaces – from Corktown Common to the Shuter-Sumach parkette
- streetscaping, public art & beautification
- property development – what’s going up around the neighbourhood
- politics – from City relations up to provincial and federal changes
- public safety
- social events – BBQs, parties, arts & culture events
- BIXI, cycle paths and pedestrian routes
- traffic & transit issues
A new board will be elected. Come out and meet the people who will be representing you and working to make our wonderful neighbourhood even better! Or get involved by volunteering for a committee or running for the Corktown board.
If you haven’t already, we hope you’ll join the Corktown Residents & Business Association.
To be a voting member, you must be 18 years of age or older and either live or represent a business within Corktown’s boundaries. Corktown is the area bounded by Shuter Street, Lakeshore Boulevard, Berkeley Street and the Don River (and includes the bit between River Street and the Don River from Shuter Street up to Dundas Street).
