For local runners, don’t miss this opportunity to get out, get some exercise and explore your neighbourhood this Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.
Come run with us! Every month we lead a 5KM group run through one of Toronto’s awesome downtown neighbourhoods, providing history, real estate trends, demographics and must-sees to runners along the way. Faster runners have the option of running with John; slower runners with Karyn. Runners of ALL levels are welcome.
If you haven’t gone on a run through Corktown before, you’re in for a treat! Corktown is one of Toronto’s oldest neighbourhoods, originally settled by working-class Irish immigrants in the 1800’s. The history is fascinating and so is the development going on in anticipation for the Pan Am Games in 2015. The Globe and Mail calls Corktown: “one of five neighbourhoods to watch next year.”
Meet us, dressed to run, out front or inside the doors of Corktown’s Prologue Lifestyle @ 322 King St E (at Parliament) at 7:00PM sharp.
Post-run warm up drinks at Mill Street Brewery or Balzac’s Coffee Co; whichever venue majority rules. See you there!
