Quick reminders about some exciting upcoming events in Corktown:
First, there’s the Corktown Chamber Orchestra’s new concert, taking place this Thursday, November 8 at 8 p.m. The world-renowned orchestra will be performing Stravinsky’s Apollo with special guests Alistair Chrstie, Ted Hawkins and Kevin Walsh at Little Trinity Anglican Church, 425 King Street East.

Second, there’s a pair of events upcoming at the Extension Room, Corktown’s very own fitness, dance and yoga studio. On Friday, November 16, they’ll be celebrating the opening of FLOW. BALANCE. FORM., featuring a live presentation of encaustic art and dance. The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. and includes a wine and cheese.
Then, on Sunday, November 18, head back to the Extension Room for a two hour ballet workout, held to raise funds for prostate cancer research under the Movember banner. Ladies are invited to bring their male fitness partners. The workshop costs $25 at the door or $20 if you pre-register.
