Evergreen Brickworks to discuss The Don River Valley Park Project – Art Program
Join Evergreen’s Curator Kari Cwynar and Project Manager Liz Lecky to learn about plans for Toronto’s largest Urban Park, the Don River Valley Park Project. We’ll highlight plans for the Project’s upcoming Art Program scheduled to launch this July with a special focus on the live art performances by Maria Hassabi in the Corktown Common area. Get a sneak preview of the sulptures being installed and some information around live art performances, guided walks and more all to take place on the trails this year and beyond. Get ready to see the Valley in a new and moving way!
Making Peace – Gallery Sneak Peek!
After the Evergreen presentation, the CRBA meeting will go for a walk! Join curator Ashley Woods on a walk down to the Gallery on Front St E (just east of the YMCA) for a tour and sneak peak of the Making Peace Exhibition. All attendees will receive a Making Peace t-shirt and an invitation to the Opening Ceremonies.
Community Environment Day – Corktown
Do your part in creating a cleaner, greener and more liveable Toronto. Bring your unused and unwanted household items to the Community Environment Day. Check here for more details on what can be dropped off or picked up!
When: Saturday, May 6, 2017 – 10:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Along the Esplanade near Lower Sherbourne
501 Queen Streetcar Route
Starting May 7 until September 3, the entire 501 Queen route will be operated with buses due to a number of planned construction projects on Queen Street. A full bus replacement will maintain service along the route, providing the most efficient travel during construction (avoiding major streetcar diversions in the process).

GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon – Sunday, May 7
The annual GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon will be taking place on Sunday, May 7, 2017. The course route will be passing through Corktown and will require the closure of some roads for a period of time. The roads will reopen as soon as possible.
