ROSSELLE DESSERTS UPDATE: Rosselle Desserts, who just recently opened up shop at 362 King East, is now operating on their regular hours. They’re open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. (Closed Monday.) Check ’em out on social media through their Facebook Page or via Instagram.

MATURING ADULTS LUNCH AND LEARN: Anyone who is the second half of their life is welcome to attend the first of what will be monthly lunch and learn sessions in the breakfast room of St Paul’s Basilica (at Queen and Power) on Wednesday, March 4 at 12:30 p.m. Ed Scheck, CA, will speak about things to remember when filing your income tax return as a retired person. Use the parish hall entrance between the basilica and rectory. Bring your lunch. Coffee and tea are provided.

GILEAD CLOSURE: We were sad to learn last week that Gilead Bistro will be closing on March 31, 2015 — we’ll miss those JK Fries. The restaurant is currently for sale as a turnkey operation. If you know anyone who’s interested, let them know!

ODIN HAS BEER: In better news, Odin has started serving up pints of craft beer. They’ve got taps from Left Field Brewery, Beau’s and Kissmeyer on offer. Starting on Friday, March 6, their hours will be expanding — check out their website for details

CHERRY STREET Y: If you haven’t filled out the Cooper Koo Family Cherry Street YMCA’s green roof survey, make sure to do so — it’s your opportunity to let ’em know what you’d like to see on their amazing 30,000 square foot green roof. And don’t forget they’ve teamed up with the Canary District to offer FREE YOGA every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Canary District Presentation Centre at Cherry & Front. Details are here.
