For those interested in the development of Corktown, the City’s Planning Department is holding a community consultation on the Queen-River Secondary Plan this week. It’s a great opportunity to have your say as this piece of Corktown and Regent Park takes shape. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 at St. Paul’s Basilica. Download this PDF for the full details.

The Extension Room at Eastern & Trinity is a new(ish) addition to the neighbourhood that’s been getting a lot of attention. A transplant from the west-end, they offer “a unique and diverse array of ballet fitness and dance classes, workshops and special events guided by professional dancers yet designed for everyone at all fitness levels.” Check out their schedule of classes and drop by.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the horses, the Cavalia Odysseo show—held in that big tent down by the foot of Parliament Street—has been extended another week. Tickets are still available.

Councillor Pam McConnell has posted a list of summer concerts at St. James Park. They’re all free-to-attend. A great way to spend a sunny weekend.

Inside Toronto’s Justin Skinner has a good write-up of the Moss Park revitalization efforts from two weeks ago.

General city stuff: Pride is here! Also, the Toronto Jazz Festival continues. And get your reservations in for Summerlicious.

And, lastly, 15 students from the Regent Park School of Music (actually located in Corktown on Queen Street) got to perform The Wall with Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters this weekend. Jealous.
